Primary bathroom with a slipper tub in San Diego
Frameless glass shower, freestanding tub and brass fixtures.

How this primary bath came together
When we first saw this primary bathroom, it had a raised-panel double vanity, a drop-in tub set into a tiled deck under the windows, and a framed glass shower.
We pulled the permit, then removed the tile, vanity, tub and toilet. A freestanding slipper tub now sits under the window where the tub deck was, with new water lines roughed in for a floor-mount filler.
We rebuilt the shower at its existing size, framed a niche, hot-mopped the pan and roughed in new lines for a rain head and a hand shower.
The finished room has wood-look plank tile on the floor, frameless glass, brushed gold fixtures, a new vanity and new recessed lights.
