From lawn to pool and spa

Behind this house, the backyard was a lawn, with a patio cover and a barbecue counter by the back door.

The project started with our 3D design, which included the spa.

The pool is 30 by 15 feet and runs from three and a half to five and a half feet deep, with steps and two baja shelves. The spa sits at the same height as the pool.

We were the general contractor from the 3D design to startup. After the excavation, the steel and the plumbing went in, along with an electrical subpanel for the pool equipment. The shell was sprayed in shotcrete and finished with waterline tile, coping and a pebble finish.

The equipment is Pentair: a DE filter, a heater, variable-speed pumps, LED lights and a controller with a remote at the spa.

During the work, the homeowners asked for a new wood side gate, and it went on a written change order.

After the pebble finish went in, the pool was filled and started up.
